TCM flashing does not require an available VIN License for customers running V8.3.1 software or later, and licensed TCMs are no longer displayed. To view License Status or generate Serial and Auth Code information for VIN License purchases; EFILive V8 Scan and Tune. Connect your AutoCal device to your PC. Start the EFILive V8 Scan and Tune. The FlashScan V2/AutoCal VIN licensing scheme does not rely on the VIN but on other non-VIN data, unique to each controller. Each VIN license is capable of tuning one supported engine controller (ECM or PCM) and one supported transmission controller (TCM). The ECM/PCM and TCM do not need to be for the same vehicle.

How are EFILive License Activation Codes and Controller Authorization Codes sent?

1. EFILive License activation codes and controller authorization codes are sent via email to the registered email address provided on your EFILive Store Account.
2. Activation codes can also be accessed by logging onto your EFILive Store Account.

How long will it take to receive my EFILive License Activation Code or Controller Authorization Code?

The product purchased will determine the time frame for the license being issued. Configure generic joystick windows 10.

1. FlashScan & AutoCal VIN Licenses (includes V3, V2, HD VIN Licenses & V1 PCM Licenses) - Automated license processing occurs within approximately 10 minutes. Validation of your serial and auth code ensures correct order placement.
2. FlashScan Tuning Options - Automated processing of your Tuning Option Activation code and included VIN licenses occur within approximately 10 minutes. Validation of your serial ensures correct order placement.
3. FlashScan V2 Stream Licenses - Stream licenses are delivered via email during regular New Zealand business hours.
4. AutoCal Unlink Codes- Automated processing occurs within approximately 10 minutes. Validation of your serial and auth code ensures correct order placement.

How do I ensure my EFILive Order passes validation?

1. All VIN Licenses, Tuning Options and Controller auth-code orders go through a comprehensive validation process. Only valid serial/auth codes will be given the option to add products to the cart and proceed to check-out.

1. Configure FlashScan V2 for BBX features if not already setup.
2. Copy selected tune file(s) from your PC to FlashScan V2 if not already copied via Quick Setup in step 1.
3. Connect your FlashScan V2 device to your vehicle.
4. Turn the vehicle ignition to the On position (not the Accessory position. Vehicle must not be cranked/running when flashing).
5. Navigate to the F2 Tune Tool -> F1 Tuning and select either F2 Program Cal or F3 Program Full menu option.
6. Using the arrow keys, navigate to the correct tune file and select OK.
7. If the controller has not been licensed by this FlashScan V2 previously, you will be presented with the License this controller now? message. Select Yes to license the controller or No to exit without licensing the controller.
   
8. Select Yes to confirm licensing the controller and commence the flash, or No to exit without licensing the controller.
   
9. When the flash process is complete the Reset Controller notification will be shown. When prompted perform the following actions:
   
   1. Turn the vehicle ignition Off.
   2. Click on the Start button to begin the countdown timer.
   3. DO NOT turn the vehicle ignition on until the countdown timer expires. This time is critical to allow the ECM to perform internal functions after a read operation.
