Hi All, Just about managed to set up ista d with icom. Itool radar can see icom, I went to ista d ediabas and changed the ediabas.ini to suit. All looks to be working, unfortunatly i dont have a BMW at the moment to try the system, I am just powering the icom from a 12 volt psu using the obd2 connector.
What is BMW ITool Radar?
- Alright guys here is the iTool Radar their are two files. Just download the x86 if you have a 32 bit computer or x64 if you have a 64 bit computer. Instructions are posted bellow and attached. Let me know if you have questions. ITool Radar Download 1. Install latest Java x32 and x64. Install both of them.
- Nov 26, 2020 Run iTool Radar software Click the “Free” device state,then click “Function” button right side,it will show “release”. Now the color will change from green to red,it mean BMW ICOM connection built connection successfully. Note: Record the IP address show above.
BMW ITool Radar is factory BMW Group software,and part of BMW Standard Tool that use to check the status of you BMW ICOM,GT1 or OPPS.
Reserved/Not reserved, I.P address, Serial Number, MAC address, ICOM Firmware, also to be used with INPA and E-SYS as the ICOM must be reserved in order to be used with these tools.
Installation directory must be c:program files just copy the directory to here. Also make sure Java is installed and updated.

1Install Java (jre-6u13-windows-i586-p.exe).
2Copy “ITool Radar” folder to C:program files (x86)
3Run IToolRadar.exe to start the program (accept any firewall warning messages).
